Nice to meet you...

Worcestershire-based sustainable architect, David Holland

Hello - I'm David - a chartered architect focussed on creating sustainable, human-centric buildings. I work with clients who care about their environmental impact, and value creative and innovative solutions.

I established my Worcestershire studio in 2019, after having already gained nearly 15 years of experience, with an ambition to help likeminded clients realise projects that achieve these goals...

  • net zero-carbon ready

  • minimal upfront carbon emissions

  • reduced material resources

  • enhanced quality of life

  • enhanced personal health

If you are considering a project, and you share these aspirations, (or you're just feeling curious) then I invite you to get in touch with me.

Do I even need an architect?

Yes!

It's certainly possible for you to undertake your building project without an architect, but that doesn't mean you should. Architects wear many hats throughout the course of the project. By appointing an architect you’ll get...

  • Creative problem-solving

  • Technical and regulatory know-how

  • Project management and leadership

  • Effective communication

  • Knowledge of planning policies

  • Advice on contractual arrangements

  • Access to trusted consultants, contractors and suppliers

Your project should be an exciting journey, but if you're constantly tripping up because you don't have somebody to guide you along the way, it will feel like a stressful scramble to the finish line, it might end up costing more, and you may not even like the destination once you get there.

So yes, you should use an architect.
